2016 saw Lewis complete a Motorsport Engineering degree at Hertford University as well as contesting the Porsche Carrera Cup GB in a Porsche 911 GT3.
Like many aspiring British racing drivers, Lewis began his karting career in Junior Rotax Max in 2010. He finished 12th in his maiden campaign in the Super 1 Series National Championship. The talented youngster went on to showcase his abilities in Europe contesting the Senior Rotax Max. Despite a competitive field, Lewis drove superbly to qualify on the front row and finish off the year with two superb wins.
Lewis made his debut in car racing in 2013 in the Radical Clubman’s Cup. By the season end, he had secured the title and went on to beat 154 competitors to win the coveted Sunoco IMSA 200 Challenge. The result was a prize drive in the 2014 Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge during the Rolex 24 at Daytona in the USA.
2015 saw Lewis competing in the Avon Tyres British GT Championship in a Mercedes SLS AMG GT3. He was also invited to join the European Russian GT team for the 24 Hours of Spa also in a Mercedes SLS AMG GT3.
Lewis contested the Porsche Carrera Cup GB in 2016 with the front running Redline Racing team. It was his first year in the highly competitve championship and Lewis ended the season classified second in the Rookie standings. Lewis also contested the Mobil 1 Porsche Supercup race during the Formula One Britsh Grand Prix at Silverstone in July.
